Beaver – carved in Yorkstone – 17″ x 8″ x 10″

This sculpture is carved from a solid block of the finest Yorkshire sandstone and captures the Beaver is a paused moment with raised front paws and looking outwards.

The Beaver’s contribution to the environment is beginning to be recognised where they are re-introduced into the wild.  Their expertise in building networks of small ponds and streams creates superb wetland habitats, supporting a wide range of wildlife.

I’m hearing such inspiring stories of Beavers and the success of their eco-system engineering, and the benefit to the environment this brings.  It gives me a feeling of hope and encouragement.
