Pensychnant Exhibition

Badger sculpture – carved in Yorkstone – 20″ x 9″ x 10″
Recently I submitted a sculpture for inclusion in the Pensychnant Conservation Centre and Nature Reserve Open Exhibition, and have just heard the good news that my stone carved Badger has been selected.
The theme for the Pensychnant Conservation Centre Open 2025 is Nature, Environment and Conservation. It is to be a showcase for the beauty and diversity of the natural world and a way to provoke contemplation of environmental issues. Subjects such as biodiversity loss, the climate crisis, sustainability, and the importance of nature to the well-being of humankind.
For me the Badger is perhaps a symbol of how much we need to change our attitudes to nature and find a way forward where humans and wildlife exist together in harmony.
The sculpture will I hope convey some of the Badger’s resolute character, its solid and undaunted spirit and celebrate its brave family and social bonds.
