The streamlined curves help these birds – the Great Northern Diver, the Red-Throated Diver,  the Black-Throated Diver, Slavonian Grebe, Black-Necked Grebe, Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe and the Cormorant – become exceptional swimmers both on the surface and under the water.
