Open Studio – back to a workshop

Plinths I used to show my sculpture

Sculpture plinths being cleared and put away until my next exhibition

On Sunday night, after my last visitors from North Yorkshire Open Studios left, it felt strangely quiet in the workshop.   After two weekends full of laughter, talk, music, socialising, friendliness and warmth, I sat on my own, reflecting and feeling tired, and pretty emotional actually!

Thanks to all who came and brought me joy – supported my making and made me feel proud of my creations.

The quiet is good, as I slowly dismantle the display and put away my sculpture plinths and reclaim my studio as a workplace.  I’m glad I can be careless with dust again and delight at spreading my tools out, ready to get back to carving and shaping.

Until next time ….  or if you would like to visit me at the workshop, you would be very welcome, but please ring first to arrange a convenient time.
