Winterlude – more news

I know you’ve just heard about Winterlude, but only hours ago I got all the images through from the photoshoot with Steve Rayner.

It was a moment I was eagerly anticipating – to see how my pieces would look  photographed by a professional.  So, here they are!  Do let me know what you think.  I’ve laid them out in a sort of gallery, but if you click on them, you’ll go through to a larger image with all the details, hinting at what inspired them.

The Art Connections team are busily putting the finishing touches to the website for opening on 6th November – I’m including here something from their press-release so you’re completely up-to-date.

6 November, 2014 – 11 January 2015

Art Connections presents Winterlude, an online exhibition of new contemporary art bringing together the best work from your favourite North Yorkshire Open Studios artists.  This curated selection of high quality art and craft is available exclusively online, offering a unique opportunity to buy original artworks direct from the artist’s studio, delivered to your door with a personal touch.  Why not treat yourself to something special this Winter or buy a unique gift for a loved one?  Winterlude invites you to take a step away from the season’s hustle and bustle and explore an exclusive selection of paintings, prints and sculptures, precious jewellery, distinctive ceramics, glass, hand crafted textiles and wood by over 30 artists.

Curator for the exhibition, Grace Whowell, commented, “The work is diverse in its subject matter and creation; each artist has a story to tell but it is evident that they are inspired by this amazing place, North Yorkshire, in which they live and work.”  Whether it is your first piece, an addition to your collection or an investment for the future, buying and owning original art is always a pleasure.

Winterlude ensures secure and easy payment methods and safe delivery of all artwork.  Most of the items for sale have been created exclusively; many are one-offs or very limited editions, so don’t miss out, sign up for special previews and updates about the exhibition at

Don’t forget to pop over and see my pieces – at the top of this page is Flutter (it is lovely when birds do this isn’t it?)
