A gift for a garden and its birds
Earlier in the year I watched a robin visit my Birdbath here at the workshop – it perched on the edge, bobbing and flicking its wings. I thought at first it was in distress. Then it flew, without drinking or bathing.
Moments later it returned with three other birds – all newly fledged robin young and I was treated to a wonderful scene of flapping, sploshing, fluttering fluffy feathered joy. The parent birds had brought their young to the bath to show them where it was.
Birdbath I’ve just made, with two stone carved birds perching on the edge, as a gift for a garden and its birds. The wild birds will find it quickly once it is in place, and I know many generations of bird families will enjoy using it.
