Watermark Gallery in Harrogate

Watermark Gallery owner Liz Hawkes with one of my stone bird sculptures which are part of the current exhibition
Yesterday I delivered a small collection of stone pieces to the Watermark Gallery in Harrogate, just in time for a celebration of their opening in the evening.
It was a delight to meet owner Liz Hawkes and see her new gallery. Liz is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the art and sculptural pieces she is exhibiting – and I loved hearing about her plans for the gallery – it was such a tonic, and I could have stayed in the beautifully curated rooms all day, but had to take my leave so she could look after all the visitors! This is a new gallery for me and I’m very much looking forward to working with the Watermark team.
The gallery will be showing these vases and birds I mentioned the other day, my little Quail birds and a range of my simply shaped stone pots (in keeping with the contemporary feel of the gallery). But – we did discuss the possibility of a special sculpture for the window – so do keep an eye open for it in the near future!
